Sacrament Talk

We spoke in our ward on January 18.  Our assignment was to speak on "strengthen our testimony and deepening our conversion".  We were surrounded by our ward family, our children and grandchildren who live in Utah, as well as friends and family from Morgan, Box Elder, Montpelier and Montana.

A key "take away" came through a quote from Elder David a. Bednar that we both referenced in our talk.  "Knowing that the Gospel is true is the essence of a testimony.  Consistently being true to the Gospel is the essence of conversion."  We both know that the Gospel is true and serving our Savior during a full-time mission is another step in our efforts at obtaining a true conversion.

Mission Call

November 13, 2014 - We received our mission call to serve in the Florida Jacksonville Mission with our primary assignment to labor with North America Southeast Area Family History Records Preservation as a records preservation specialist. We will serve for 18 months.  This is something that we both have been looking forward to for many years.

We had the opportunity to open our call in front of most of our family members whether physically present in our home or through face time.  We appreciate all the support that we've received from our family, friends, neighbors, ward members, and Ron's colleagues in Morgan and Box Elder.

Our adventure begins on Monday, February 2 when we enter the Missionary Training Center in Provo.  We'll be there for two weeks.
